Catherine Hoff
Family Nurse Practitioner
Wichita
Hi, I'm Catherine! I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner passionate about whole-person, relationship-based care and helping patients feel heard, supported, and involved in their own health.
I grew up in Seattle, Washington, where being surrounded by mountains and coastline gave me a lifelong love of the outdoors. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Whitworth University in Spokane and began my career through the Seattle Children's Nurse Residency Program. From there I spent several years as a Registered Nurse and Charge Nurse on the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit at Seattle Children's Hospital, caring for children in acute mental health crises. I relocated to Kansas City in 2022 and worked in pediatric emergency medicine at Children's Mercy Hospital.
My passion for functional medicine actually began as a patient. After working through my own gut health and hormone concerns, I became convinced that healthcare needed to look deeper than symptoms alone. That conviction led me to become a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2022, then to earn my Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University to become a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2026.
I've continued building on that root-cause approach through the Institute for Functional Medicine's certification coursework and close collaboration and consultation with the trusted provider group at PHW. The entire Prairie Health & Wellness team encompasses the integrative approach that I believe healthcare should: thoughtful, individualized, and focused on the whole person.
Outside the clinic, I love cooking, spending time with my husband and our golden retriever, and being outdoors. I’m looking forward to meeting you and being part of your health journey.
